2024 Spring Better Together Partnership

As part of our 5K Celebration on April 20 in Winchester, VA, we're teaming up with our fellow non-profit organization @Literacy Volunteers Winchester Area Together, we'll be gathering children's books for their Campaign for Grade Level Reading. If you're attending our 5K event, we kindly ask you to bring along any children's books you'd like to donate. We believe that we're better together, and this partnership is a testament to that belief.

They need children’s books particularly board books or books geared toward toddlers or elementary school-aged children. Also, dual-language books (English/Spanish) or Spanish books are a high priority for them.

*Children who do not read on grade level by third grade are four times more likely to drop out!

We are setting a goal of collecting 300 books. Will you help us reach our goal?

When: April 20, 2024

Race time: 9:30 AM

Where: Admiral Byrd Middle School, Winchester, VA

How: Bring new or gently used childrens books to our event, we will take of the rest
